Mark Hunter is arguably one of the most experienced podcast producers in the UK. He started the flagship indie Scottish music podcast, the tartanpodcast, early 2005 and within two years was producing podcasts for The Sustainable Scotland Network, The Association for International Cancer Research and The Scottish Learning Festival.
His work has won him plaudits from 'old media' stalwarts like Tom Morton and Muriel Gray, and his podcasts have been written about in Dazed and Confused, The Glasgow Herald, The Sunday Times and The New York Times.
Mark's strengths as a producer, presenter and editor lie in keeping the subject of the podcast grounded, making sure even difficult topics such as cancer and climate change are approachable.
Much of his time is spent keeping abreast of new social media trends and his opinions on new media are saught after, demonstrated by his rising from columnist, to feature writer, to Executive Editor of Podcast User Magazine during 2007.
Based in a village north of Glasgow, Mark is married with 2 young children and enjoys football, photography, gadgets and the Scottish north west coastline.
